What are extras? Extras is another word for background actors. It is one of the best ways to gain experience on the set. In addition, it is also a great way to get your foot through the door and become a member of SAG/AFTRA or any other acting union.

We also strongly advise that you do not stop by their office. This is not a good way to get your foot thru the door. Most of them require an appointment to see them.
